Years 5 & 6 Leadership Training

“LEADING THE WAY”

Students in Years 5 & 6 have a tremendous opportunity to positively impact their peers and school. 

Our primary school training programs aim to develop students into strong and resilient young people who are inspired and excited to use the leadership opportunity they have been given to make a positive difference. These programs focus on building the necessary skills and confidence to ensure students in Years 5 & 6 have a smooth transition into high school. Primary Content

Our Years 5 & 6 workshops focus on the following themes:

  • Decision making and peer pressure
  • Motivation and goal-setting
 
Primary Objectives

  The students will:

  • Be challenged by new ideas about leadership and develop an understanding of the impact their leadership, both individually and as a grade, can have on their school
  • Identify the attributes of a good leader and acknowledge their own leadership strengths
  • Be equipped with improved skills in communication, problem solving and listening skills
  • Be encouraged to foster good relationships with peer group and to look out for the needs of others
  • Enhance their sense of self and improve their confidence and capacity to overcome difficulties
  • Develop an appreciation for the strength and effectiveness of a positive team by participating in team-building challenges
  • Have FUN and leave inspired to make a difference!
